IBPSA Canada and the Canadian Green Building Council (CaGBC) formed a joint task force to define the criteria, guidelines and references for conducting building energy simulation reviews in support of LEED Canada submissions. The resulting LEED Energy Modeling Assessment Briefing Document provides guidelines for LEED Canada submission requirements for modellers. It also outlines protocols for qualified reviewers to verify building energy simulation submissions in support of LEED certification for Energy & Atmosphere Prerequisite 2 (EAp2) and Credit 1 (EAc1). Checklists and a sample "Modelling Description and Characteristics Report" are provided to help guide modellers and reviewers in the process.
